Save your money if you want to play a season or play a franchise mode, which lets you control team over many seasons. The game will perodically freeze on you. 2k9 has no plans to fix this according to an adminstrator on their forum board. Very disappointing!

I played this game for about seven straight hours after I got it for Christmas.
First off the problems:
Announcers occasionlly will say the wrong players name. Example Ryan Miller is in net and they say Price made the save.

MY 9 YR. OLD GRANDSON WAS THRILLED WITH THIS WII GAME. THAT'S ALL HE WANTED. HE AND HIS FATHER PLAYED AND PLAYED. OF COURSE HIS FATHER LOST.
HE HAD A FEW OF HIS FRIENDS OVER FOR HIS BIRTHDAY PARTY AND THE HOCKEY GAME WAS THE HIT. I GUESS YOU'D SAY IT WAS THE BEST GIFT.
