I bought this for Dish DVR. I tell you, it is very hard to find a good drive for Dish that will go into powersave when inactive. This drives power-save does not work appear to work with Dish. Got this to replace a shoddy Western Digital MyBook that just stopped working. So far this drive is doing fine after 3 months. A little bit noisy.

Finally an external drive that can hold it's own alongside a Mac, I'm surprised this wasn't designed by Apple! It has a very sleek, minimalistic design with a 'piano gloss' finish that fits well either on your desk or as part of your home theater.
