I purchased the Z812IS to upgraded from my 1974 Minolta SRT201 35mm SLR camera (stop the laughing). I got tired of waiting to see if my pictures were any good after developing. The popup flash is a big issue with camera like this. The popup flash stopped popping up for my camera and the camera is basically useless. The camera also shuts down every once in a while for no reason and I miss precious shots. I loved the camera initially because of all the features it has but now I hate it.

I have had this camera (z812is) for about 6 months and there are two things I can say about it the first one is this camera goes through a lot of batteries quick including rechargeables, and high end digital batteries.
