iRiver's designers are asleep at the switch, kinda literally. The sounds is bang on, iRiver's eternal strength. But the little push knobby control seems to randomly choose your intent. I bought this to replace an earlier iRiver iFP-890, that I really liked, and I looked for a replacement only because the 890 was stolen. As mentioned in another review, I can confirm that the AAA batteries don't last nearly as long as the AA batteries in my earlier iRiver, so you need to be sure to carry several rechargeables ... EQ settings are awesome. Sound quality is great.
But the little knob for controlling the unit is horrible. Pressing the knob is the equivalent as typing the enter/return key on your keyboard. Don't do it too hard, though, because the knob gets lodged into the unit, making it impossible to adjust the volume. When I say "lightly" ... Read More
