I upgraded my 64x2 3600 2.0 mhz to this processor,it is quite a bit faster than the 3600,took Vista experience on processor from a 4.0 to a 4.9,I then added a Radeon HD4850 graphics card and the experience level went to 5.0. processor speed.It all makes a difference.

Tiger Direct shows the picture and describes the older Socket 939 version of this Athlon 64 X2 processor, but it is not what is shipped. This is a very good processor you can buy, it works very quiet. Works faster than I think and I install first with Windows XP, but the computer run to fast, so I install Windows Vista and its the same, works very fast.
