Editorial Review:
Product Description: It's pro audio in a sleek disguise. The Altec Lansing PT6021 system delivers pure, clean, uncluttered audio. High highs. Low lows. And, best of all, because it features InConcert technology, a fusion of pro audio line-array and tri-amp technologies, the sound feels like it's being directed right at you. InConcert Technology minimizes reverb from floors and ceilings. And volume drop-off is negligible even when you walk to the back of a big room. The system's twin, ultra-slim satellites contain a total of twelve micro drivers, with each pair powered by its own discrete amplifier - that's three amps per satellite! A ported subwoofer completes the system and the sound by providing sophisticated, low frequency bass. The slim, flat-panel satellites look perfect next to a flat-panel screen, and they feature removable bases for easy wall mounting. With the PT6021, you get incredible sound and cutting-edge design. Just the way you like it.

I loved the silver FX versions of these speakers. At $230 plus shipping it is in a tough and pricey group. I was able to snag some PT's at $140pp, and at that price point they are marvelous. None of its ~$100to$200 competitors were strong in mid range, this one uses an interesting approach with its stack of small speakers ... Read More

I had a set of Altec's 2.1 FX6021. They were incredible. The music was pure joy to listen to. I never would use an equalizer because everyone I tried only lessened the fantastic sound of the FX6021 set.
However, bad things happened to the speaker system during a lightning storm. A surge made them kaput. So, trusting ... Read More

The highs on these speakers are great, but SERIOUSLY LACKING on the mids. No matter how low I turn the bass down with the control, the subwoofer is too boomy. I have the Altec Lansing MX5021 and they sound MUCH better than these (too bad Altec discontinued them). These speakers are not up to my expectation for the price and are ... Read More

These hideously expensive speakers died after about 6 months. To repair them they want me to ship these heavy speakers to them, at my expense.
Instead, I think I'll put them in the trash and buy speakers from someone who will support their product. Do NOT buy from Altec Lansing.
