If you need something to keep you camera from getting scratched while u carry it in your pocket or purse then this is the item for you. Note: does not protect against bears, use cautiously.

Other reviewers who criticized the magnetic catch are correct....when putting the camera into the case or removing it, if you do not hold the cover flap out of the way, the metal magnetic catch really beats up the camera - I learned the "hold the flap out of the way" technique after the third "whack" of my beatiful new ...
