The Basics
- Hard Drive: The 40 GB Ultra DMA hard drive (5400 RPM) is small in relation to other desktop models, and will definitely need to be upgraded if you plan on storing a moderately sized multimedia library.
- Processor: The 2.70 GHz Intel Celeron processor offers fast and affordable performance which is perfect for everyday computing tasks--from making entries in Quicken to word processing to editing home digital video movies. It has a front-side bus (FSB) speed of 400 MHz and an L2 cache of 128 KB.
- Memory: The S6010NX-B comes with a 256 MB built-in memory (DDR SDRAM, 266 MHz), which is calling out for more power right out of the gate. It has two memory slots in total, with a maximum memory expansion up to 1 GB (2 x 512 MB).
- CD/DVD Drive: The included CD-RW drive is quite fast, featuring 48x write, 24x re-write, and 48x read speeds.
- Keyboard & Mouse: The S6010NX-B comes with a Compaq Productivity keyboard and scroller mouse (both with PS/2 connections).
