Rating: - Big monitor on the cheap.
I think this a really good buy, I can understand why people had problems though. Mine was using VGA for a while and gray colors were wavy and it was extremely noticeable and annoying. There are also some random colors that did it as well.
Right now that it is going through a DVI to HDMI and it looks fine. None of that gray wavy business. The size of text in 1680 x 1050 is fine, the monitor is big but it doesn't mean you have to sit any further away from it. If you really have a problem with it you can set it to a lower 16:10 resolution.
There is some bleeding on the top and bottom, only slightly noticeable if you are watching a 16:9 video. Very noticeable if it is a black screen. It takes a bit to start displaying the input when it is asleep. (Note: Doesn't do this through normal DVI cable) Sometimes my computers boot menu is only on the screen for a half a second but it isn't a big deal.
My 360 is also connected to it via HDMI with a DVI to HDMI adapter on the monitor. It looks awesome. There is a setting for 1050 with the new NXE but is just letter boxed. If you set it to 1080p it will stretch, and doesn't look bad. Through VGA though the monitor can't stretch 1080p with the 360, it seems it can only stretch resolutions that are smaller than its' native. But since there is a 1050 option on the 360 now your good to go with VGA.
Sometimes when I see the monitor compared with a HDTV it looks like its lacking in the color department but I also barely messed the settings yet. I would really suggest this monitor, unless you will be hooking up to a PC thought VGA. If you are a console gamer I highly suggest it! It is the best way to go HD without spending much.
Rating: - Just what I was looking for!
Outstanding monitor for the price and size. Liked the first one I bought so much at a store that I bought a second one from Amazon.
Rating: - Great monitor for the money
I bought my at Staples because they had a better price. This is a vast improvement over my old crt monitor. Just plugged it in and it was ready to go. Color is great, picture is crisp and clean. Great value for the money.

Rating: - Text not sharp enough
When I buy a 1680x1050 resolution monitor, I understand text will be displayed smaller than the more commonly used resolutions. Of course, I expect it to be finer as well. This text was not fine enough to justify the purchase, thus I had to request a return. If you must get this monitor, I'd recommend increasing font size or using a smaller resolution (which defeats the purpose of a 1680x1050 resolution!). I haven't sampled text quality on many 1680x1050 22 inch monitors, but I expect it gets quite better. I'm still shopping for a better buy.
