I bought one of these, to load in it a bunch of mp3 files..know what I mean? Trying to save the best from my old blue/white IMac... worked fine, though slow as the older Mac has only USB 1...got the files after 3 hours or so....
Next day, plugged it into my (old again) Lombard power book with OS 10.4 (built in USB 2) was recognized right away...went to dump some ore files into the drive, it went POOF! dissappeared..now blue lights on the drive only blink....plugged it into my girlfriend's G4..the blue lights only blink..
I have a feeling it's apiece of junk...
I wanted Firewire, thank you and settled for USB due to time restrictions and such....
I'm probably returning it to the store...
it's very plastic anyway...feels like it would break if dropped to the floor...
