I am on my 3rd ipod video in 8 months. Apple, though it claims to offer a year's protection, really only offers two months (look at their web site for the details...the devil is in the details).
It's nice, when it works. Too bad it doesn't work nearly often enough. It is a lot of money to put towards a product that has clear design flaws.
In the future I'll be looking at more affordable mp3 players.

The 6th generation is a very nicely improved version of the 80 gb classic iPod. It is quite a bit thinner than the 2-year old unit I am replacing. The graphics are improved in various ways, such as you see the album covers while tunes are playing. The sound and the earbuds seem to be the same as on my earlier unit, though, no improvements noticeable in those. The one mistake I made was in buying an iSkin cover... it was sized for the older generation and this one rattles around in it... to big. So if you buy an iSkin, be sure you get one sized for the 6th generation.

I think this is a great product. I love having all my music, pictures, and even some files right there!

You know how it sucks when you fill up your ipod? You have to start deleting music and prioritizing. What do I really want to have on my Ipod? What can just be on Itunes... Then after a while your Itunes is getting pretty fat and you are stressing over hard drive space and you just wanna chuck it all in the trash. Well feel the joy of liberation when you sync your bulbous bulging Itunes with this 160g slab and watch it barely register on the capacity bar. You have got to have an insane music collection to fill this baby up. The silver one is quite striking, blending beautifully with the Itunes interface. It is thinner at 160 than my 30 video. So if you want the mothership Ipod that can hold everything and be the music master hub of your system, get this baby and download senuti. You will be good to go.
