I bought these as a replacement for my aging Cambridge soundworks FPS 2000 4.1 surround speakers.
They were very easy to set up, thats a plus.
the wired remote is easy to see and use.
music sounded ok.
gaming... I play a lot of WoW and other games, and want the sound to make me feel like I am there... these speakers didn't do it. they distorted easily, they sounded flat and tinny... was not impressed. my 10 year old speakers sound better.
These speakers are decent for music, and basic day to day computer audio, but if you want something for gaming that will give you a rich sound and make you feel part of the game, these aren't for you.

we have these connected to our Vista Media Center pc in the den with the wide screen tv. connected to the appropriate 5.1 outs from the computer. works great and is loud/full enough for regular movie experience at half volume.
the 4 side/back speakers can all be easily mounted on the wall with one screw [each]. center speaker flat screen rubber pads are very neat and handy.
these are made for a computer desktop kind of setting, so rear speakers are long enough for that, I think 12 feet. get some extensions for a living room setting. for the same reason the cables are black, so you'll want to get some wall colored wires anyway.
wish the cables were neutral color and there was a separate input for an mp3 player too but for the price I wouldn't expect that and they are a great deal already if you catch them on sale.

im 16 and like my music LOUD and have a nice bass
these speakers do just that
i have them on my comptuer
i had them with the onboard sound and the quality was surprisingly good
then opted for a different sound card and it got a hell of alot better
all in all these are loud speakers with amazin quality

Rating: - Well Worth the Price
For the price, these are a great set of speakers. Only drawback--the wires are a bit too short if you really want to spread them around a room. The sound is really respectable. I think Logitech has wireless speakers now, but you're going to PAY for them. These can still be found online for under $60.
