bought these 10/30/08.started using them 11/6/08. have about 40 hrs. on them at this point.running an onkyo 304 5.1 receiver, polk cs1 center, polk m30s as rears. sony 2500 sub.the athenas blend well. i hope they continue to open up as other reviewers stated they did. as i would like to have alittle more low end presence from them. i know thats what the sub is for, but i was using 1984 a.d.s.L570s as fronts and they had that. saw fry's had infinity P362s for 119.00 apiece thanksgiving weekend.ive never heard the 362s but a three way system with 2 more low end drivers and 2 more high end drivers might have been just what i was looking for. at this point im second guessing myself. i think the fit and finish is ok. on some music the high end is a little bright and the lows are alittle light. but ill give them some more time and if idont eventually fall in love with them, youll see them on ebay in 2009.
Rating: - great entry level speakers for those on a budget!
Right out of the box, these speakers sound warm and have a nice bass response. connecting these to my onkyo 605 was a breeze. The athena LS line of speaker is being discontinued by Klipsch, so get these while you can.
