Rating: - Tester is Great, Software Not So Much
This tester has proven as accurate as any equipment I've used by Fluke, and is fast and easy to use. My only gripes are that it only comes with 8 cable mapping loopbacks, which the company says it is working on expanding to 20 (I forgot to ask if the extras would be included or optional), and the software ("Plan-Um") for network planning could use some work because data entry is slow due to a clunky interface that doesn't even seem to have a grid for aligning components and obstacles such as doors and windows don't appear to be insertable; an accurate drawing can be imported from AutoCAD. That said, I would still buy this tester even without the software, but I really hope the company makes some serious improvements in Plan-Um in the near future.
