Rating: - Excellent choice for the money
Excellent for college bound student or for home use. I gave up on inkjet
printers because of their tendency to dry up. I use printer for home use that does not require much activity but like to have the capability when needed for copying, faxing or printing.
It was easy to set up and hope that it will work through out my schooling for PhD.
Rating: - Great small business printer
I bought this printer about three months ago and have used it for scanning, copying and printing. I have used a number of HP printers for the home and small office in the past. The functionality of this printer would be hard to beat. I have not enountered any software delays, as seems to occur with the lower-priced HP scanners, and the Canon MF4150 allows for easy scanning into PDF format. The print quality is terrific and the pages come out quickly. As other reviewers have said, the printer is quiet and does well in standby mode. I would highly recommend this printer, especially based upon the fact that Dell, HP and others are peddling low quality lasers that only handle printing for $100.
Rating: - My scanner Is Very Blurry
For my small business I use all of the functions of this all in one printer. I am very dissapointed with the scanning feature. It is giving me terrible, blurry images. I really hope I am doing something wrong but I have tried many different ways and I still get a very blurry image. Tomorrow I am calling canon to find out what the problem is. I am setting it at the highest resolution with no compression. I haven't tried the printer/copier/fax yet so I don't know. So far I am very upset about this purchase. 3hrs in the scanning already.
Rating: - Great product
Scans in color, prints in B&W, laser, not ink jet, which is exactly what I wanted and shopped for. Fast scanning directly to Acrobat (including color), good OCR, fast B&W copier, wakes up from energy saver mode in a blink of an eye. Excellent paper handling, including automatic document feeder. Only drawback: Fax - Telephone line in plus hook-up out as telephone with built in answering machine. Can use ANS-MODE, where fax won't work but ans machine does; or FAX/TEL, where receiving faxes works but won't answer - just get beeps when call on voice line. Manual fax works; have to read Acrobat manuals carefully. Was hoping FAX/TEL would distinguish incoming voice from fax. This is a small part of my need - the printing/scanning/copying is the main part, and that is all marvelous.
