Rating: - An Incredible Printer!
You will love this printer; it's a great deal for the money. Professional grade printing for your business or personal use. Unbelievable quality!
Rating: - Good Value for a Canon Printer
I bought this Canon MF4150 printer after my thirteen-year-old HP 4L bit the dust. The Canon MF4150 works great. You will need to purchase your own USB cable, but once you hook it up, you'll probably like this printer. It is fast, and the print quality is excellent. The copier also works great, as does the automatic feeder. Setup is quick too. The menus are pretty easy to navigate when setting this up. Replacement toner cartridges are a little pricey, but there should be some good deals out there on refurbished toner cartridges. All-in-all, this seems to be a good printer, offering good value.
Rating: - does NOT do double-sided copying!
The description and specifications for this unit are very misleading:
it doesn't do duplex scanning and the "double-sided" copying function only means double-sided printing of single-side originals. Quick, quiet unit otherwise but, unfortunately, I bought it to do double-sided copying... It's going back to amazon.
Rating: - Disappointed and Frustrated
I bought this printer because it's cheap but has all functions that I was looking for. More importantly, it has a very good reviews. However, the truth is that this model sucks and canon sucks.
When I received the printer, it had problem doing double sided printing. After the printer finished one side and it stopped when the paper was fed back for the other side. I tired many times, the printer always stuck at the same point. After a couple of calls, I found out the printer was defective. Amazon sent me a replacement.
When I received the second one, right after I powered on the printer, I got a error message "Toner is NOT set", even though the fresh from packing toner cartridge was in the printer. I tried a couple of times (took the cartridge out, and put it back in) and also used a different toner cartridge (the cartridge from the first printer), I got the same error message. I found out that this one is defective too after I contacted canon technical support.
Is it co-incident or just my bad luck?!
Finally, I decided to return the printer and get my money back. I used to have HP printers and I guess that I am going to stick with that.
I have to say amazon's customer services was very good during the whole process. At one point, I was gonna keep the printer and bring it to one of canon service centers to get it fixed 'cause I felt bad for amazon.
However, since I go to school in Canada and i bought the printer from US, I was told by canon that canon US and canon canada is totally different companies and I have to bring the printer back to US to get it fixed. Amazon, on the other hand, offered to send the replacement printer to my canadian address without any problems. The replacement was sent to my US address eventually cause I didnot want to pay high duty charge to canada customs.
