Rating: - Easy and effective
The backup software is easy to use and very fast. The hard drive itself has been very hardy (so far). And the speed of a FireWire drive makes me not want to even consider a USB one.

Love the way it looks, the rubber edge seems to protect well. Plus, i love the orange color. as well, the size is perfect for mobility.
Rating: - Great hard drive for Apple Computers
This is a great hard drive that works well with my Macbook. It has a feature that allows you to partition part of the drive as Mac OS X compatible and part of it as Windows compatible. It works great with OS X, Win XP and Vista. It comes with every cable you need including USB 2.0 cables (both single and dual plug), fireware and another plug that can be used to power it. Its reliable and does not crash or overheat.
-This drive is smaller than it looks- it's really portable!
-Triple interface is great for maximum compatibility when traveling
The cons:
-My drive was formatted for a Mac when I got it. I use a PC. Naturally, my laptop didn't recognize the drive when I first connected it. The quick start user guide mentioned nothing about this, and the answer to this problem is buried deep in the full manual that's included on the driver CD. Once I found out how to fix the problem and format the drive correctly, it worked like a charm.
-Drive only ships with 6-pin to 6-pin and 9-pin to 9-pin FireWire cables- no 6-pin to 4-pin cable that would enable FireWire compatibility on my laptop. If you've got a 6-pin FireWire connection onboard, this won't be a problem for you.
-I used the drive to back up some of my music, and unfortunately, the drive couldn't be powered by USB alone when transferring music with my iPod connected through my laptop's 2nd USB port. As a result, I can't transfer music from the drive to my iPod, because the drive itself hogs both of my laptop's USB ports at once. I had to shell out an extra 19.99 for Lacie's AC adapter. This drive should ship with the AC adapter included!
Overall, I'm satisfied, but the experience of using the product has been frustrating so far.
