Rating: - The Most Awesome Keyboard You Will Ever Own
I'll tell it to you straight: I was extremely skeptical about spending almost $200 on a keyboard. Because it is a lot of money. However, I run through keyboards like nobody's business, and I thought that maybe I should just bite the bullet and buy a really solid, well constructed keyboard with a great warranty.
I'm here to tell you I don't regret it.
If you are thinking about buying this keyboard, just go for it. It will probably be the most smugly satisfying purchase you make this year.
As a writer, having good keyboards is really important to me. I like the look and feel of this keyboard; the keys are incredibly responsive, and it's fairly quiet, even when used at high speed. I like the backlit controls, I like the TouchDisc, although it does take some getting used to, and I love the size and heft. The accompanying software is quite solid too, making it easy to program function keys and so forth.
My only complaint about the diNovo Edge is that it does not have a number pad. If Logitech ever comes out with a model which includes a number pad, I'll be on it like a shot. Other than that, this keyboard is pretty much the most perfect and excellent thing ever.
Buy this keyboard. Just do it. You know you want to.
Rating: - Beautiful and Exquisite Wireless Keyboard
Unlike the previous diNovo which was plagued by it's connection problems and using batteries instead of rechargeable lithium, the Edge is Bluetooth and includes rechargeable lithium batteries. The only thing that it does not include is a number pad, which is a shame but that area is being used for the touch pad and volume control. I have to say this is simply the most eloquent keyboard you will ever own (and no I am not talking about those keyboards that includes precious metals which are not required). Besides it's looks, the keyboard is comfortable to type on, you will be amazed on how quickly you are able to type on this keyboard. Also, for those who like typing at an angle, you can raise the tabs to make it go up. There are a lot of features (otherwise this keyboard would not cost over $150) which you can configure by using the logitech software (which is included with the box). Charging the unit is a breeze since it takes a little over 2 hours to fully charge which can last for about 2 months.
Recommended for Windows XP and Vista only! Mac and older versions of Windows (2000, ME, 98) not supported, though Macs recognize it you will not be able to use all of the functions.

This thing really completes my media setup. The learning curve on the tracpad was a little tedious for me; I was spoiled with my macbook's trackpad. The one on this keyboard takes a little getting used to, but don't get discouraged, in due time you'll be tracking with your thumb and pointer finger, and scrolling like a champ. I like it, especially the touch sensitive volume slider, very cool. The brushed aluminum hand rest adds a nice touch. The overall slimline look and feel is awesome; it gets compliments every time someone sees it. OH, and I am using my MACBOOK, no problem, worked right out the box. You might have to download a freeware called "Doublecommand" to swap the "Windows" key to the "MAC" key...
Reason why I didn't give it 5 stars, cause it wasn't designed with Mac users in mind, even though you don't really need any drivers for it to work with one; and it's kinda pricey for a keyboard.
Rating: - The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly
I bought this keyboard for use with my laptop, which I use while sitting on the sofa. Putting the laptop on my lap was hurting my back because it make me hunch over to look down at the monitor. So I bought a laptop stand, thinking that would solve my problem. But the laptop stand was too unsteady to type on, so I raised the height of the laptop stand to eye level, bought a lap board for a keyboard and bought a different Logitech wireless keyboard. This way, I could type with the keyboard on my lap, which is great as far as ergonomics go. That worked well but the wireless mouse that came with the keyboard kept falling onto the floor when I would put the board down. So I bought the Dinovo Edge because it has a trackpad and I wouldn't have to worry about a mouse.
THE GOOD
1. Stylish design. The best looking keyboard I've ever seen.
2. Great feel.
3. Connectivity great.
4. Using the trackpad wasn't a problem.
THE BAD
1. The touchpad scrolling feature doesn't work well and isn't worth using.
2, Too expensive.
THE UGLY
After using this keyboad for a couple of months, I noticed that the charge was lasting for progressively shorter lengths of time. I've had this keyboard for 6 months. When I went to use it this morning, there was no charge left, even though I charged it overnight two nights ago. I called Logitech and they're going to replace it (although they're making me pay for shipping it back, which is probably going to cost me about $8 through FedEx). Oh yeah, and they say it's going to take two weeks after I send the old one back before I'll get the replacement.
