We have always had very poor cell reception in our home. Our cell phones were always dropping calls or we would get voice mails without ever getting a phone call. We had one or less bars consistently. This item was very easy to install. It took less than an hour and we had to drill through a couple of walls. Our cell reception improved instantly and we immediately went to four to five bars. I am very pleased with this item.

I purchased this unit to work with my iPhone 3G. Before, I was getting 1 to no bars inside my home office in Chicago. I put the antenna on my roof and the base unit on my desk, about 3 feet away from where I'll use the phone. I now get 5 bars on the 3G network. The only negative is the further you move away from the base unit, the less bars you get. If I walk into the next room, the signal drops to 2-3 bars. No matter, I plan on using the phone at my desk anyway. The good news is, this thing actually does work.

I was able to get the unit to work, but the area in which it increases the signal is only about the size of your living room. If that is all you need it would work great, but I was looking for it to at least cover most of my home. It did increase the living room size area by 2-3 bars, but signal in one room wasn't worth the price. I've decided to just forward my cell phone to my house phone when I am there. That gives me a perfect signal :)

This product did not help increase recption at all.
