Rating: - Great Repeater and great for the money - got signal inside that was blocked by metal building
This product worked great for gettting a signal that was blocked by my metal building. I had a strong (3-4 bar) signal outside and NO signal inside my metal shop building. I had to leave my phone propped by the crack in the door for it to ring, then walk outside to talk on it.
This product was the least expensive (scary) repeater that I found and wasn't sure it would really work, or how big the coverage area would be. After temporarily setting it up to test location then about 30 minutes of installation (all hardware included) I had 5 bars at the repeater, 3 bars 15' away and 2 bars 25' away through a concrete block wall.
My expectations were exceeded and am very thrilled to get so good of results from a product less expensive than all the others. I would give this product a shot if your signal is blocked from your building or structure. I am not sure how it would work trying to boost a poor signal area.

I have an iPhone and I live in a neighborhood with limited AT&T coverage and have had problems with dropped calls and no service. After installing this unit I get a full strength 3G signal! The install took some work and I had to experiment with placement of the unit, but it really impresses me that such a device exists at a reasonable price. I used my phone to determine the best place for the remote antenna, which in my case was on the roof. I put the base unit on a shelf in the room where I make most of my calls. The signal is good just about anywhere I go around the house or in the back yard, but the best signal is best near the base unit. If you are considering buying this device I suggest you verify that you are able to get a good signal in the attic, roof or on an outside wall. Once installed properly I think you will be impressed.

I live in a rural mountain area with no cell towers in sight and only one bar maybe (Verizon), especially inside my mobile home. I had very limited voice and text service from two windows in my trailer with the 0 to 1 bar. Placed the antenna outside on mudroom 11 feet away from trailer siding and 3 feet away from the metal roof on the mudroom. Wah.... la! I have service from one end of my trailer to the other and even on my front deck (mudroom is on other side of trailer), which I never had before. I now have 1 bar throughout; however, service is really good! I use my cell phone for business, because I work in the field. So this now allows me to use my cell phone at home for business.... and personal. I may drop my land line and satellite internet if I can get Verizon internet thru this booster! If that works, it will be a $150 per month savings! Well worth it. As it is now, it is worth it just to be able to use our cell phones at home!
Rating: - Exactly as expected
This will extend your wireless coverage by rebroadcasting the signal in an unreached area. The only reason I gave this product 4 stars and not five is the installation is not straight forward plug & play. It does take some finesse & finagling. A reminder that this is an extender and not a creator. It cannot extend what you do not have. I recommend this product.
