Rating: - works but not well
i went from having no bars inside to 5 bars inside but only when standing within 5 feet of the device. at 6 feet i had no signal. i returned the item ,for the money i expected the item to at least work through out the room.
Rating: - Doesn't Work!
Very dissatisfied with this product! It doesn't boost my cell reception
at all. I plan on returning it.
Rating: - Great product for a good price
I had NO bars in my basement, and I now get 5 full bars!!! Took about 15 minutes to mount the antenna on the roof and run the provided cable to the basement. I added another 50' cable onto it and I'm using this with an AT&T aircard to get internet and it works great. Just make sure the base unit can't 'see' the antenna and you are good to go!!
Rating: - No more dropped calls in my house
I've had the Wireless Extenders Yx 510-Pcs/Cel Dual-Band Cellular Phone Signal Booster up and running for several weeks now. Installing it through our multi-level house was not the easiest -- esp. routing the cable from the attic to where I needed it, in my office basement. I never did make it to my office before I ran out of the 50' cable -- so I settled for a spot in the laundry room right next to the basement, but probably 8-10' higher than I wanted the unit to sit (and much higher than the installation guide recommends) -- and behind a wall. However, at my desk in my basement office, where I once got between 0 and 2 bars on my iPhone 3G, I now routinely get 5. I say "routinely" because on occasion the signal seems to weaken to 1 bar, an unnerving event since I just spent close to $300 to get the unit. Thus far this spottiness has not resulted in any dropped calls. Further, calls throughout my house, where I used to get spotty reception (the kitchen, the living room, etc.) are now much stronger, and I never even get static, let alone a dropped call. Overall the unit works as expected, reliably and robustly. Now I just wish I could take the unit with me in my car!
