I have a 250GB WD MyBook hard drive. Bought this one for its compactness. Though I was wary of buying this product after reading about the power surge issues, I still went ahead. I think I have made a good decision. It worked well on my Toshiba laptop and on my dad's HP laptop. So far so good.
Rating: - Works as expected
This product is what I had hoped it would be - a small profile, reliable USB backup drive. Easy to install the backup software and start the backups. No drive errors so far after a couple months. The scan utility that comes with it is also a good tool to ensure your drive is always healthy.
I like the encrypted backups and the capability to show anyone that finds your lost drive only your contact information.
The software has to be started manually. I do wish it had a capability to be executed from Scheduled Tasks.

I really didn't expect much from this item, but it blow me away.
So quiet, smooth, fast, and small.
I really recommend it for those who like to take there personal stuff away from PC
Rating: - Good Solid Hard Drive.
Overall - very good product, compares well with Seagate USB Hard Drives (I have a few of those), much better then Lacie (I have a few of those too)
pros: small, light, good design
cons: short cable, gets warm (not hot - just warm. but Seagate doesnt even get warm)
