Rating: - Hard to go back to a Widows PC
Purchased a MacBook Pro so as to be able to use Keynote - what was unexpected was the pleasurable transformation of my entire computing experience - "it just works" is in fact the deal - the installation of Leopard as an upgrade was totally smooth and worthwhile - we will move all our computing over to the Mac platform - people simply prefer using a Mac loaded with Leopard - would give Leopard 4.5 stars - however this is not an available option - 5 stars would be perfect - and this is close - I'm convinced this is the best available operating system and of course the Apple hardware and bundled apps are very elegant.
Rating: - Not for the imac, bought in 2003
I bought a new Ipod Nano and to my surprise was not compatable with my imac! A rep from Apple suggested the upgrade to Leopard and the upgrade would not take to my imac. Again I contacted Apple and this time they said I would have to buy a new Mac. I just returned the Leopard since it was not compatable. Will not buy a new mac--yet.
Rating: - Excellent Upgrade
This OS meets all the expectations I had. It runs very fast and stable. Previously when running Tiger 10.4, I would get multiple Safari and Mail crashes a week. Plus I would constantly have issues with my wireless keeping a connection with my router. Since I have moved to leopard, none of those issues exist anymore. I love preview and use it far more than I ever thought I would. Coverflow is cool, and the spotlight feature is very fast now. Much more responsive than Tiger. Leopard is an excellent upgrade and so far my experience has been nothing but positive.
Rating: - Great stuff
