I was glad to have this the last time I charged my Nuvi 760. The cigarette lighter in the car wasn't working at the time, and I was in a location where I didn't have computer access. I don't get those people saying it's not needed. As the old adage goes, "...better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it."

It's really nice to be able to charge the unit from the wall rather than just the cigarette lighter. I used my Nuvi for walking around several European cities over the past couple weeks and this allowed me to recharge it without access to a car. The two included plug adapters (in addition to the standard USA plug) offer some great versatility.

i couldn't use this on my nuvi 760 gps as it had a different connection. it was advertized as fitting the nuvi's but it doesn't so i can't give a opinion on it. i sent it back and got credit. shirlee larotonda
