I've only had the Garmin for a few days now, but I have already used it a good amount. It is very user friendly; I didn't download the user's manual until after I had successfully used it a few times already. Of everything, the only down side I have found is that it takes a while to find the satellite sometimes. Twice now, it has taken about 5 minutes to figure out where I am. Other times, it has taken 30 seconds, so it doesn't take 5 minutes every time. Like I said, that is the only con I have found; everything else is excellent!
Rating: - Make a right with the Garmin Nuvi 350
I've purchased three of these units form my family over the years. The early software version had a glitch where it would lock up. That problem has been taken care of and I've had no problems since. Updates to the software are easy to get online and are easy to download into the Nuvi. The unit is easy to navigate and has all the features you could possibly want. When looking at pictures on a memory card it will take some time to load each image. So it's not an option I use often. I've recommended the unit to everyone I know and have heard nothing but great feedback when purchased. The price makes this perfect for anyone interested in getting one. It's been around for three years so its not the newest in the Garmin line but they got it perfect with this. It's pocket size, about the size of a deck of cards, makes it easy to take walking too. The Nuvi is the standard by which all GPS units try to measure up to. Get one and see.

This Garmin was more expensive on other websites and in the stores. This was a great value and I do all my shopping here on Amazon for their prices and selections. Thank you Amazon!! Patricia F

This is my son's and I finally got to use it. I've mainly used a TomTom - both work well but I think this is my preference. The street names in voice feature is excellent- very easy to use (also available in TomTom).
-Volume should go a little higher
-Keyboard is alphabetical instead of QWERTY- maybe it has an option for QWERTY but I couldn't find it. If you're a touch typist QWERTY is much easier.
-I'd like to see the car speed and miles to go on the main screen- they're available on a secondary screen
-Battery life is excellent- plus this one came with an AC charger which is very handy
-Comes with nice little case
-Took a long time to acquire satellites initially- same as TomTom
Overall- nice product. I don't really see where a wide screen is necessary on these.
