It turns on the xbox360 and that's about it. Wanted to use it for Netflix purposes and it fails.

I havent used this yet as its for hubby for christmas but im sure he will be happy he can now watch dvds on his xbox but the shipping was great---Came fast

We bought the Xbox 360 Universal Media Remote for viewing TV shows recorded on our desktop computer. It was easy to bring up our Desktop's Media Center (must be initially set up/synced before first use - start here --> [...] ) and move through the menu to select the show we wanted to watch. My husband had little trouble handling the fast forward to zip through the commercials so it has to be easy to use. I haven't used it to control the DVD viewing but based on our media center use, wouldn't anticipate any problems.
