I bought the e-mail station for my mother for x-mas thinking it would be the greatest gift. Well she lives in Hertford North Carolina and everything is long distance. being she is on a limited income we have to return this product and buy a different one that provides a toll free 1-800 number

I purchased a MailStation for my brother for Christmas. He is not at all technically inclined and I wanted something very simple for him to use. I have found that the limitations of this product are frustrating to him and make it less useful than I had hoped. People who email him frequently don't realize that they are composing their email in html format; they send attachments that are in a format he can't receive; they send messages that are too long. He is so frustrated with it already that I am probably going to take it back and get him a new gift.
Rating: - Poor customer support
I gave the mailstation to my brother in Kansas for a gift. He had problems when he opened it and tried the customer support line and got a machine. He has yet to reach a real person and its been several days. Also we found out there aren't very many local access numbers in Kansas (none that aren't long distance for him) so check that carefully before you purchase. I tried to find that out before I sent it but the email customer support never answered my question. So although the product itself might be good (we don't know) the customer support is bad. We'll be returning the product.

This is one of the most unique gadgets ever created! I think if they included everything it can do on the box ,they would be selling like crazy! I got this for Christmas and its the most easy thing I've ever seen! You just hook it up to your phone line with the phone cord they provide and presto- you've got mail! You also have a calculator, an address book, and the choice of multiple accounts! You can even write letters to people who don't have e-mail then connect it to your printer and you have a typed letter to give to your reciptent! You can fax messages to people and even recieve attached files and pictures! Note that to recieve the attached files and pictures you must have a computer and internet accsess.
