Rating: - DO NOT BUY THIS!
I bought this card two weeks ago, and have given up on it. I'm returning it!
For 3D games (Quake I, II & II, Unreal T, Tomb Raider etc.) it works great (for 16 bit). However if you try to do Video-Capture, it is horrible!
My previous cards (ATI XPERT98 + TV Tuner **ISA!**) performed better. It might say 30 fps, but it looks all choppy and grainy. I have a ATHLON 700 system but still, real-time videocapture is horrible. The lousy video-capture is not worth the extra $50. My suggestion is to Get a GeForce......
Rating: - The VooDoo 3500 tv from 3DFX
I've been happy since I installed that card in my CPU. Great textures handling, smooth gaming and super fast 2d/3d acceleration. I recommand this card to anyone who is interrested in retouching and sending movies or clips on the net. The module that comes with the card is awesome, no more back pain trying to plug your wire in or out, this module gives you access to all the important input/output of your card in seconds ! The only card that will replace mine will be that VooDoo 5 6000.....When it comes out !
Rating: - good, but not great
After doing much research I have made my final conclusion. I think this is a all around good card. But compared to GeForce and Diamond Stealth this card is nothing. It does not deliver nearly as many frames per second, and I would not recommend it if you are a very serious Gamer. But don't get me wrong it is a pretty good card.
Rating: - Good but not the best
This is probably one of the best cards out there. Although I know for a fact it is not the best card out there, it it still delivers outstanding performance. I wuold recommend buying a 3DFX card only because they support Glide, wich is a faster way to play your games. But if you are going for speed and detail go for eiher the new DIAMOND STEALTH card or the Geforce. WARNING THEY MAY BE MORE EXPENSIVE!
