A post previous to this one asked for the dimensions of this item. I e-mailed the manufacturer and was sent the following:
tray - 20 5/8 x 10 x 2 1/2
metal shell - 21 7/8 x 15 1/2 x 3 1/2

does anybody have a clue of what the dimensions are for this item? Sure would be nice to know.

I ordered this tray to reclaim desk space when I am not typing and to raise my monitor when I am typing, so that I'd stop slouching. It suits both purposes well, but you should be aware that it will raise the height of the keyboard. If you type a lot and your desk is not low already, you may be better off with an under-desk keyboard tray. The metal frame is very sturdy, with plenty of support for a large monitor. The plastic keyboard tray conveniently locks in place when fully open, so that it doesn't slide back in when I type. A latch on either side releases the lock so that it smoothly slides out of the way when I need desk space. There is extra room around my keyboard to place often used items, as well as sections for paper clips and two pens. The one improvement I would like would be for the tray to be wide enough to accommodate my mousepad.
